Retired DoD Civilians - As of August 31, 2023

DOD Civilian Retiree Registration – NAS Key West

Effective immediately, PSD no longer issues DoD civilian retiree ID cards. Previously issued DoD retiree ID cards will remain valid through 31 Aug 2023, but will not be reissued. DBIDS credentials will be issued to eligible DoD civilian retirees upon positive identification of the individual and visual inspection of their SF-50 indicating retirement from civilian government service.

DoD civilian retirees should go to the Visitor Control Center (VCC) located at building A-641 at the entry gate of Boca Chica Field with their SF-50 indicating retirement and federal or state ID where they’ll be assisted in the issuance of DBIDS credentials. Retiree DBIDS credentials will have an escort limit of 10.

To expedite the process, customers may fill out the DBIDS pre-enrollment form located at DBIDS Pre-Enrollment (dmdc.mil). Once pre-enrolled, print out the QR code and bring it to the VCC. The Visitor Control Center hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. For more information please contact the VCC at 305-293-2806.
